Neil BConfirmed An excellent base from which to enjoy Copenhagen, We have just returned from another excellent stay at the Absalon Hotel—and this was by no means our first visit! It was lovely to find that, as soon as we arrived, the staff were as welcoming as ever. Check-in was made much easier since we had used the online advance booking system. It was a bit like coming home—you know, that feeling you get when you’ve just returned to a place you love. You feel that nothing is too much trouble for the team, and it isn’t! Of course, we made good use of the bar! The selection of drinks (including tea and coffee) is excellent. Although the bar was busy at times, the room is large enough to accommodate everyone with plenty of comfortable chairs and tables. It was relaxing just to sit and listen to the background music—not too loud—just right. We made good use of our complimentary 100 DKK drink voucher. Breakfast was leisurely, and there were plenty of places to sit. The variety of food on offer was sufficient to meet everyone’s needs. Tables were cleared immediately by the friendly staff. The hotel is ideally located on the edge of the main shopping area, which is only a 20-minute walk away. So what’s not to like? If you’re considering a city break with all the comforts of home—what are you waiting for? Alan CConfirmed City break. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is spotless with a very relaxed atmosphere. The breakfast is excellent, and the location is perfect—about 50 meters from the central station. We would definitely stay here again. Excursion26643941238Confirmed I highly recommend this hotel. A fantastic hotelin a central location. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The service is top-notch, as is the breakfast! Terry PooreConfirmed An excellent hotel for a city break. This was our first visit to Copenhagen, and we chose this hotel, which turned out to be a very smart choice. It’s a 4-star boutique hotel that certainly lives up to its rating and is conveniently located, just a 5-minute walk from Central Station. The hotel itself is very clean, and all the staff are polite and pleasant. Breakfast is well catered for with a good selection of buffet-style food. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the Meatpacking District, where you’ll find plenty of dining options to suit all tastes. All in all, it’s a hotel I would highly recommend. Ian TConfirmed Brilliant Brilliant location, just about 100 meters from the central train station. The hotel was really nice, with lovely staff, a beautiful room, and a fabulous breakfast—I definitely recommend it. magsmurph_88Confirmed Clean and comfortable Pros: Excellent location, close to the Metro, bars, and restaurants. Clean—very clean. Friendly staff. Daily housekeeping, including fresh towels. Nice bar area. Modern decor. Cons: Our room was very small. The toilet paper was of poor quality. Lack of storage space for clothes; the wardrobe door didn’t open fully. Pillows—not enough pillows, too many cushions! Breakfast was just okay. IrishDeeLiteConfirmed The perfect place for our stay. The location is just a 5-minute walk from the train station and ideal for exploring the city’s sights and restaurants. The breakfast was perfect and gave us a great start to the day. The room was clean and spacious. The staff were warm and friendly, and the bar is a relaxing place to unwind at the end of the day. XXXPolConfirmed Great place for a short stay This hotel is perfectly located, but that’s not the only plus. The hotel is in good condition, with very professional staff at the front desk and in the bar. The rooms are a bit too small for my taste, even though I was upgraded to a larger room during check-in! But if you’re in Copenhagen for just a few days—book the Absalon! And remember to follow the staff recommendations posted on the board near the front desk. We found an amazing spot for pre-dinner drinks thanks to one of these recommendations. Simona BConfirmed Excellent hotel near the city center Excellent hotel, in an enviable location, comfortable, with a great breakfast. The front desk staff were very courteous and helpful, and the rooms were spacious and well-furnished. If we return, this will be our hotel. OllieConfirmed Would definitelyrecommend In terms of value for money, this was great. Prices in Copenhagen are very high, and while this place isn’t particularly cheap, it’s much cheaper than alternatives yet still offers a very pleasant experience. Pros: - Check-in was easy, and the staff are very friendly. - The hotel bar has a great atmosphere. We often ended each night there, playing cards. - Ideal location, just a two-minute walk to Copenhagen Central Station. - Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and there are a decent number of coat hangers. Cons: - I thought the pillow provided in the room was really bad. It didn’t provide nearly enough support to sleep on. I had to use the decorative pillows, which isn’t what they’re really meant for, and isn’t ideal since they won’t be washed like regular pillows. - The room and bathroom, while clean, are small and basic. There’s no luggage rack in the room. The shower is fine but located inside a bathtub, and the screen provides very little coverage, meaning a lot of the bathroom floor naturally gets wet. - I think the breakfast could be improved. It was a very small area for such a large number of people. In conclusion, I’d definitely recommend it, and would definitely stay there again. The overall rating onTripAdvisor is 4.4 out of 5, based on 5,019 reviews
