tim lBekræftet Couples surprise trip Superb hotel ,fantastic chilled staff ,great vibe ,stones throw from main railway station but far from the dodgy hotels associated with train station proximity ,would recommend it unreservedly Richard BBekræftet Perfect An incredible initial impression, eclipsed each day! Maren was intrinsic to our engagement and will forever be greatly appreciated by both of us. I wish we knew the names of all of the staff… Still pleasantly shocked by the gracious humanity displayed by them all 🙏 The hotel is beautiful. The atmosphere, more so. Room and breakfast - perfect. Nothing about our stay could have improved it. We will revisit many times. 💯 Our special place. Thank you guys. Lorraine KBekræftet Amazing hotel in great location. Visted Copenhagen for the New Year and stayed at this fantastic hotel. It is situated in a great location and easily acessed from the station. The hotel was wonderfully clean and had great rooms. Every member of staff were friendly, helpful and could not do enough for you. I would definitely return and would highly recommend. The breakfast was generous with plenty of options and although no restaurant on site there are loads of places nearby to eat. Another plus was the Concept 21 option a great idea. I would also like to say thankyou for my fizz on my birthday. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. Sandancer77Bekræftet Excellent location! Stayed here for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year. The hotel is very close to central station and Tivoli Gardens, making it the ideal location to stay to get around the city or to hop on a train to Sweden as we did. The hotel is modern and welcoming. Our room was spacious with a large, comfy bed and a sofa bed for our son. Everything was very clean. The coffee pod machine was a hit with my husband. We asked for a jug of milk at the bar each night for our hot drinks. There was a fridge to keep it in. There was a safe too. The bathroom was spacious with a shower over the bath. The breakfast was very good, especially for a city centre hotel. Mostly cold food but did have 3 hot items. There were 2 breakfast areas so lots of room. If you skip housekeeping, you get to choose one of 3 rewards. The 100dkk voucher I chose bought me a drink in the on-site bar which had a good selection of drinks. They have a luggage store too. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel! TracyJ1717Bekræftet Fantastic! Myself, husband and our teens stayed here over Christmas for 4 night, and our stay was fantastic! The room was amazing! Kitchen and bathroom was so nice and such a comfy bed, was a bit tempted to steal the pillows they were so comfy 😂 had everything we needed. We loved the table football too. Great location, walking distance to the station and tivoli gardens. Would 100% recommend and go back. Thanks for a great stay Aldra CBekræftet Brilliant Hotel Lovely room. Staff were very friendly. Was a little unsure about the area of the hotel when we first arrived, but feel very safe in the hotel. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic, with a wide range. Richard KBekræftet Nice hotel Really nice hotel, very good location. 2 mins walk from the main train station. Friendly reception staff, nicely appointed room. They only thing that let the hotel down a little was the breakfast thats very limited. One other thing to note, not the hotels fault, the hotel is opposite a sex shop, not a problem but it is something to note if you have children and they look out the window and start asking some interesting questions. SherazBekræftet Adequate but not as good as I had hoped for. Spent 4 nights over the Christmas 2025 period. The good - * Nice central location. * Amazing bed and pillows which ensured a great nights sleep every night * A quiet room was requested and this was catered for. The room was at the back of the hotel and heard no noise at all from outside. Some was heard from other hotel guests as they used the hallways but that is to expected to some extent. I did have to tell some people to 'Be Quiet' at before 8AM, one morning, when they decided to have a loud conversation outside our room. * A long breakfast session. Breakfast was offered from 630, I believe, until 11. The not so good - * Was there when the outside temperatures were touching zero and our room was cold. But the lovely girl from reception brought up a mobile heater and after that the room was lovely and warm. So I will give the hotel staff credit here for solving this. * I had a basic room and there was not much hanging space and literally no shelves/drawers. I managed to cope but others may struggle somewhat. * The biggest issue was the bathroom. The shower whilst being very hot and powerful had a tiny shower screen that meant the first time I took a shower the whole bathroom was flooded basically. After that I adjusted my shower taking procedure but this wasn't great. I did report this to the reception and they said they would look at it and nothing was done as I guess its just a design flaw. Have since seen other reviews complaining about the same. The shower was over a bathtub which had a very high side to one had to get in and out very carefully. There was no handrail and nothing to hold onto. I managed but a less able bodied person may struggle and to be fair it was a health risk. * Plenty of seating for breakfast but the food layout was not the best for the first 3 mornings and people just kept getting in each others way. The last morning we saw a new area had been opened up with all of the items duplicated but unless you went to the lower seating area (where I decided to sit every morning) you may well have missed that. CeerkayBekræftet We really enjoyed our stay We stayed here for two nights in late December. The hotel is very nicely decorated. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There was a good selection at breakfast, large flask of coffee on the table, hot and cold food. The scrambled egg was good, along with the fresh bread, cheeses, boiled eggs, ham and salami. There was yogurt, salad, fresh fruit, sausages, cereal, juices and milk. There's definitely something for everyone The reception, bar and breakfast area are all nicely decorated. Lots of seating, comfy seating and nice ambient lighting. The room was small but clean and warm, lots of hot water, towels and shampoo/body wash provided. The bed was really comfortable and the room has a small fridge, tv and tea/coffee making facilities, we were on the third floor and had a nice view of the streets below, the windows can fully open all the way, so be careful not to lean out too much. There is space to hang clothes. The room was absolutely fine for our stay. Check in is after 2pm and check out was 11am. We called down to reception on the day of departure and were able to extend the room time for 30 minutes. The hotel is in an great location, just a few minutes walk from Copenhagen Central Station. If you come out of the hotel and turn right onto Istedgade you will see the big S sign on the station building at the top of the road, which is the back entrance. If you turn left on Istedgade you will head towards the meat packing district. Nyhavn is a good (but very enjoyable) 30 minute walk away, head west past Tivoli Gardens, turn right at the top of the road, cross the busy main road, walk down Stoget (lots of shops, bars and restaurants) and you will eventually arrive at Nyhavn. We really enjoyed our stay at the Absalon Hotel and in Copenhagen. The weather was so unexpectedly mild and sunny, which made exploring the city by foot a dream. We averaged around 25k steps each day and loved every minute of it. Thank you! JRBekræftet A Bit Overpriced, Dated, and in an Increasingly Rough Area — Not Worth the Cost Definitely more three-star than four — poor value for the price. The biggest issue was the area. Despite the central location, it felt genuinely sketchy. We witnessed open hard-drug use right outside the hotel — not weed — including someone injecting themselves just steps from the front door. That alone made the stay uncomfortable and is not what you expect at this price point. The hotel itself is tired. Hallways and common areas are old and worn, and the central staircase smelled strongly of sewage during our stay. Our room was passable but clearly run down, and the shower repeatedly backed up after about 30 seconds of use, which got old fast. Breakfast is heavily overrated in other reviews. It was fine, but very basic: baked scrambled eggs, pancakes, a few pastries, small sausages, yogurt. Limited variety and mid-tier quality across the board. Worse, the plates and cups had a persistent musty smell — likely a dishwasher issue. The coffee was actually good, once you got past that. Staff were polite enough but largely indifferent. Nothing bad, nothing memorable. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, and our ground-floor room on the quieter side of the building was mostly noise-free. Overall, the experience was “meh.” For what this hotel costs, there are better options in Copenhagen. The central location no longer feels like a selling point, and we left wishing we’d stayed somewhere outside the city center instead.Tripadvisor samlet bedømmelse er 4.4 af 5, på basis af 4974 anmeldelser
